You are here: Young Arbitrators

Arbitration no longer is a domain of silver-haired eminent lawyers and professors. It nevertheless resembles a closed shop insofar as one must become part of the community. In the last ten years, there has been a commendable number of initiatives to open up the community for people below 40 - the 'nappy mafia', as it was once called by a very eminent and well-known UK arbitrator. If you want to become part of the community, you should engage in one or more of those initiatives. The following list of initiatives is based on a recent compilation undertaken by Mark Kantor and does not claim to be exhaustive. If your initiative is missing, do let me know and I will amend the list.
